STARTING WAGE: $24.00/H, with Health/Dental benefit, and Fuel expense.
PERIOD OF EMPLOYMENT: Season 2025
HOURS: 40H/week, 10H shifts, 3 days OFF.
We offer early and evening shifts, weekdays and/or weekends.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License. Must have a reliable vehicle.
• Valid First Aid certification – minimum 8 hr, current at time of employment.
• A Driver’s Abstract and a Criminal Record Check requested upon hiring.
EXPERIENCE & QUALITIES
• Practical experience in the use and maintenance of groundskeeping equipment.
• Janitorial and facility maintenance experience.
• Public safety and security – managing public behaviour. Excellent communication skills and public relations abilities.
• Sales experience (use of debit/credit).
• Some computer competencies an asset.
• Good organizational skills and initiative in a high paced work setting.
• Ability to work cooperatively within a staff and volunteer team. Energetic, positive, and able to work in harsh weather conditions.
• Visitor/customer service in a park, campground setting.
• Local knowledge of visitor opportunities.
DUTIES:
• Operational maintenance and overall park upkeep, duties including daily clean up of
campsites, washrooms, and day use areas within a provincial park.
• Successfully execute park security gaining voluntary compliance with visiting public.
• Provide Park visitors tourism information.
• Sale of park use permits and firewood.
