LOCATION:
Bear Creek Provincial Park is located near West Kelowna, BC in the sunny central Okanagan.
PARK DESCRIPTION:
Bear Creek is one of the busiest, most popular provincial parks in BC with 143 campsites, day-use area, and trail system.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Hire, train, motivate, and manage 12 – 16 staff;
Manage budgets, forecasts, reports and staff schedules;
Enforce BC Parks policies and regulations;
Manage onsite reservation system, fee collections, customer service, general repairs and maintenance, daily problem solving, onsite public safety and security, implementing emergency procedures and WorkSafe program;
Provide a positive working environment.
REQUIRED SKILLS & PRE-REQUISITES:
Management of multiple staff and busy working environment;
Good physical condition, enjoy working outdoors and in weather extremes;
Possess positive attitude and be a people person;
Be a TEAM player, well spoken and effective communicator;
Working knowledge of lawn maintenance equipment and tools;
Computer experience in Word and Excel;
Must pass an RCMP criminal record and vulnerable sector check;
Valid Class 5 driver’s license;
Valid Level 1 First Aid certificate;
Background in campground/hotel management.
